Since the establishment of our first funeral homes, we have continued the time-honored tradition of exceptional service to our community and we are proud of our long standing history that spans multiple generations of care.
Tribute Funeral Homes has been serving Darke County area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.
The story of Tribute Funeral Homes began way back in the late 1800’s when Stutz and Sando founded their first funeral home in New Madison, Ohio. They served their community for many years and proceeded to grow the business by establishing additional funeral homes in Arcanum and West Milton.
In the 1940’s the New Madison campus was sold to Ed Storch. In the 1980’s, Ed brought retired air force veteran, Delbert Braund under his wing and passed on his knowledge of the business. After a couple of years, Delbert bought the business and operated it until 2007 when a young couple named Eric and Kristin Fee purchased the business that would later become Tribute Funeral Homes.
Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus began in when 1944 when Gladden and Pauline Oliver went into partnership with George Fisher owner of the Fisher Funeral Home in Ansonia, Ohio.
In 1958 the Olivers opened a new funeral home in Greenville, known as Oliver Funeral Home, located at the corner of W. Main and Elm Streets. They were joined in the business by their 2 sons, Benton and Roger. In 1981, Roger took sole ownership of the funeral home and in April of 1994 opened the current facility on North Broadway. In 1998 the Ansonia home was closed and merged into the Greenville home. In November of 2004, Roger sold the business to Joseph Floyd, who had joined the firm in June 1981 and manager of the Greenville home since June of 1989.
In December 2015, Joe sold Oliver Floyd Funeral Home to Eric Fee, long-time local minster and owner of Braund-Pope Funeral Home in New Madison, Ohio. On February 1, 2018, the name of the funeral homes were changed to Tribute Funeral Homes to reflect what we do. This has allowed the funeral homes to continue to serve as Darke County's only locally owned funeral homes.
